“...those who trust in God may be careful to devote themselves to doing what is good and pleasing to Him. This is the right and profitable way for everyone to live.” (Titus 3 v 8 The Truth)
Trusting in our Father’s unfailing love, which is awesome,
Let us take this path through life.
God’s way is the only way to go
So as to know holiness, being unblemished.
We are called to live in the light of His presence.
Now this can only be known through prayer.
Prayer is how and where we share with God.
Our Father of mercy longs to help us,
But He requires us to accept the Lord Jesus.
He sends His Son to us as the Divine Healer.
Jesus lived and died for our sakes. How utterly awesome!
He manifests the love God asks of us,
A love which gives full respect to our Father.
“ ‘I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me’.” (John 6 v 38)
We must, must obey Him for our own good,
And so we should, we must pray!
The gift of holy love given to us in the Lord Jesus,
Is to be returned by each one of us
In the loving service of family, friends and strangers.
Prayer keeps us out of the danger coming from the enemy,
Enabling us to serve in holiness, in faithfulness,
Drawing upon the loving kindness which Jesus offers us.
We call upon the Holy Spirit of God, of Jesus,
To increase our awareness of how to serve well,
By accomplishing the tasks well which are given to us,
Doing this through the love of Jesus which motivates us.
“Who may stand in His holy place?” (Psalm 24 v 4)
“(S)he who has clean hands and a pure heart, who has not lifted up his (her) soul to an idol, nor sworn deceitfully. (S)he shall receive blessing from the LORD, and righteousness from the God of his(her) salvation.” (Psalm 24 v 4, 5)
“May God the Father bless us, may God the Son heal us. May God the Holy Spirit enlighten us, and give us eyes to see with, ears to hear with, hands to do the work of God with, feet to walk with, a mouth to preach the word of salvation with, and the Angel of peace to watch over us and
lead us at last, by our Lord’s gift, to the Kingdom. Amen. (A Dominican Blessing written in the thirteenth century.
